We're seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance quality systems within a specialised RF and microwave manufacturing environment. This role will take ownership of compliance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional quality initiatives while influencing operational excellence.

Description

  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure quality is embedded across all operational processes and functions
  • Own and maintain the Quality Manual, ensuring alignment with industry standards
  • Analyse quality data, generate reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee internal audit programmes and ensure system effectiveness
  • Manage supplier and vendor quality communication and issue resolution
  • Ensure team training on process control, inspection techniques, and quality best practices
  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks when required
  • Drive compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards, acting as the key representative for audits and certifications

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent RF/microwave industry experience
  • Proven experience in RF and microwave manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of military specifications (e.g. MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-38534) and industry drawing standards
  • Hands-on experience with chip and wire technologies, including inspection and quality processes
  • Experience interpreting customer specifications and statements of work
  • Background working closely with suppliers to implement quality requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain procedures, controls, and documentation systems
  • Experience training teams on quality processes and standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and drive improvements
  • Proven leadership experience supervising technical teams and quality activities
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing and audit coordination
