We’re partnering with a privately held global aerospace and gas turbine manufacturer seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance programs within a high-performance manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a Quality Assurance team including Quality Engineers and Technicians
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and quality systems
Champion a strong culture of quality throughout the organization
Support and maintain AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP compliance standards
Lead APQP activities including FAI, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, Process Capability, and 8D investigations
Partner with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve quality and manufacturing issues
Oversee customer audits, corrective actions, and compliance reporting
Analyze operational metrics and quality data to identify improvement opportunities
Develop and improve procedures, workflows, and quality documentation
Mentor and coach team members while supporting ongoing training and development initiatives
Manage supplier quality programs and vendor corrective actions
Support lean manufacturing and Six Sigma-based improvement projects
Qualifications:
5+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP
Experience with APQP methodologies, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools
Ability to read blueprints and strong understanding of GD&T
Experience leading audits, quality investigations, and compliance initiatives
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
Proficiency with Minitab and Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong attention to detail
Preferred Background:
Aerospace, defense, precision machining, or high-tech manufacturing experience
Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training
Experience with self-release certifications such as DSQR, SARA, or DQCR
Proven success leading and developing high-performing quality teams
