Quality Manager

We are looking for a “hands on” Manager for our Quality Assurance department that wants to grow with our business. We are Davis Machine and Manufacturing, one of the leading aerospace machining centers in the DFW Metroplex. We are on a fantastic growth path with the industry’s most admired partners in the market. We are looking for a leader to take charge of our Quality organization and provide leadership and direction to grow our systems with our revenues. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who believes in managing by the numbers. Responsibilities

·          Lead and manage all Quality Inspection and Document Control activities that includes two business units within the business

·          Acts as Management representative for our AS9100 management system

·          Acts as main point of contact with our customers that includes audits, improvement projects and performing joint root cause / corrective actions with both internal as well as external customers

·          Provide direction and guidance to our supply chain to ensure our suppliers respect and drive quality to our end customer

·          Providing “hands on” leadership in understanding and managing departmental KPIs

·          Leads process for First Article submissions as well as in process inspections

·          Acts as thought leader to help enhance productivity and product quality

Requirements

Qualifications

·       3 years demonstrated leadership experience.

·       Strong familiarity in AS9100 or ISO9001 systems management

·       Experience within the aerospace market preferred but not required.

·       Experienced with managing direct customer expectations and communication.

·       Strong leadership and organizational skills

·       Four-year degree preferred but equivalent work experience will be considered.
