Location: Elmira, NY
Salary: $75,000–$85,000
Employment Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Nesco Resource is partnering with a local manufacturing company in Elmira to hire an experienced Quality Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong PPAP experience and a background in the automotive manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
• Lead PPAP activities, including control plans, PFMEAs, measurement studies, and capability data.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Lead audits, corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
• Manage customer complaints and nonconforming materials.
• Monitor quality metrics, scrap, and rework.
• Support SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
• Supervise and develop Quality Department employees.

• PPAP experience is required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Previous manufacturing quality management or quality assurance experience.
• Knowledge of QMS, PFMEA, SPC, control plans, audits, and corrective actions.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
