The Quality Manager oversees Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing plant, ensuring products meet specifications and standards like ISO9001, TL9000, ISO14001, and ISO45001. Reporting to regional and plant leaders, they develop and implement quality programs, manage testing processes, and support certifications. Responsibilities include leading audits, investigating field issues, training staff, and maintaining effective communication with customers and regulators. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of quality engineering experience, strong knowledge of Lean Sigma, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and a relevant degree. Experience in wire, cable, or optical fiber manufacturing is a plus. The role requires a results-driven mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

In our energy business, we design and produce cables and systems for the transmission and distribution of low, medium, high and extra high voltage systems. In 2009, Prysmian built the only Vertical Continuous Vulcanization line in North America in the Abbeville, SC plant. This facility is used to produce insulated high voltage cables. In addition, the group has a manufacturing facility in Prescott, Ontario to meet Canada’s power cabling needs.
