Quality Manager

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Quality Manager for an aerospace metal-finishing company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in quality systems management, audit operations, and team leadership looking to further their career in aerospace manufacturing excellence.

• Maintain and manage QMS approvals (AS9100, Nadcap, FAA Repair Station, OEM) through audit scheduling, findings management, and compliance oversight

• Lead and develop quality team of 6-8 employees; conduct performance reviews, training, and technical mentorship

• Serve as primary liaison between operations, sales, and quality; manage 20-50+ audits annually and address high-level quality issues

• Oversee FAA Repair Station compliance as Responsible Manager

• Drive QMS performance improvements through metrics monitoring, document control, calibration management, and continuous improvement

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years aerospace quality management experience with minimum 3+ years leading a quality team; Bachelor's degree or quality-related certification preferred

• Working knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, and FAR Part 145; demonstrated QMS design and audit experience; proficiency with ERP systems (Infor SyteLine preferred)

• Strong understanding of quality problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D); Excel and MS Office proficiency; capacity to obtain Lead Auditor certification

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• FAA Repairman Certification

• Internal or Lead Auditor training certification

• Surface finishing industry experience (paint, chemical, shot peening)

• NADCAP specialty audit experience

• AC7108 and aerospace finishing specifications knowledge
