Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Previous Quality Management Experience in a Tier 1 Automotive Plant is Required.
Typically 5+ years in Quality Assurance, with a strong preference for experience in the Automotive Seating or Metal Stamping / Welding Industry.
Problem-solving (8D methodologies), data analysis, understanding of APQP, SPC, FMEA, and excellent customer-supplier communication.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Quality Manager role focuses on achieving zero-defect production. It involves Managing a Team of Quality Auditors, Quality Engineer's and Quality Technician's focused on resolving customer defects, maintaining IATF 16949 compliance, and overseeing PPAP submissions.
Process & Defect Management: Lead the Quality team to achieve -0- defects. Oversee product testing, resolve quality concerns, develop 8Ds, and pursue scrap avoidance.
Compliance & Auditing: Support and maintain IATF 16949 activities. Handle gage and calibration requirements, document control, and regulatory submissions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as an active team member on Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, and PPAP preparation.
Customer/Supplier Relations: Travel to customer locations, communicate break points, and post Quality Alerts. Advise vendors and instruct external labs.
