Legacy Staffing has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in the Massillon area to identify an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve all quality systems and initiatives across the organization.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced machining environment and has strong experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, continuous improvement, and customer quality management.

The ideal candidate will bring a proactive leadership style, strong analytical ability, and a passion for driving measurable improvements in quality, process capability, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the company's IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Oversee internal audits, customer audits, corrective actions, and compliance initiatives
  • Manage and mentor Quality Engineers and Inspectors
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, RCA, and data-driven analysis
  • Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and new product launch quality activities
  • Oversee calibration systems, CMM programs, gage R&R, and MSA studies
  • Monitor KPIs including scrap, rework, PPM, COPQ, and first-pass yield
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Customer teams
  • Serve as the primary customer quality contact and lead 8D/corrective action responses
  • Manage supplier quality initiatives and supplier performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing quality experience
  • 3+ years in a Quality leadership or management role
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Experience in machining, metal manufacturing, or precision manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
