Quality Manager

Location: Seneca Falls, NY
Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description: One of our clients is currently seeking a Quality Manager for their facility located in the finger lakes portion of New York.   They are a growing manufacturer of high‑quality dry food ingredients serving customers across the food, beverage, and nutrition sectors. That is committed to safety, consistency, and continuous improvement.  They are seeking a Quality Manager who can lead the quality and food safety programs with expertise and a collaborative mindset.

Position Overview

The Quality Manager will oversee all quality assurance and food safety functions within the facility. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance, customer standards, and the development of strong quality systems. It is well suited for someone who enjoys hands‑on leadership and driving a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility’s Quality and Food Safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and allergen control.

• Maintain and enhance GFSI‑aligned certification programs such as SQF or BRC.

• Oversee QA/QC activities including raw material inspection, in‑process checks, finished product testing, and environmental monitoring.

• Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, auditors, and customer quality representatives.

• Investigate non‑conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Provide training on quality systems, food safety, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with Production, R&D, Procurement, and Maintenance to ensure consistent product quality.

• Analyze quality data and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage and mentor QA staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing quality roles; experience with dry ingredients is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, GMPs, and GFSI certification schemes.

• Experience with customer audits, regulatory inspections, and third‑party certifications.

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
