Quality & Reliability Engineer, Trainium Manufacturing, Quality & ReliabilityThe Trainium Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability (MQR) Team is part of AWS Annapurna Labs focused on Machine Learning products that designs cutting‑edge AI platforms for the world's largest Cloud Services provider. As a Senior Reliability Engineer you will engage with a cross‑disciplinary staff to conceive and design infrastructure technologies. You will work closely with internal and external partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and testing in manufacturing.Key responsibilities include:Test validation of future technologies.Drive manufacturing process improvements to address reliability issues and concerns.Understand reliability statistics and tests—or the fundamentals of computer systems—to influence design for reliability.Identify and validate product or component risks, working with design teams to mitigate them and define test methodology and coverage that assure product reliability.Deep‑dive into technologies aligned with the product roadmap.Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.Perform reliability predictions of failure mechanisms for products under development and in the field.Work with multiple vendors and ODMs to standardize component manufacturing and reliability expectations.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.7+ years of reliability engineering work experience with server compute platforms or high‑tech hardware.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a fast‑paced environment similar to a high‑tech start‑up.Reliability modeling and materials characterization experience.Master's Degree or PhD in Reliability Engineering or a related field.Demonstrated ability to uncover systemic issues prior to new product introduction.Working understanding of server subcomponents (CPU, GPU, memory, HDD, SSD, motherboard, thermal system, peripherals, etc.).Analytical, test plan and procedure development experience related to server compute platforms or high‑tech hardware.Salary & BenefitsBase salary ranges:USA, CA, Cupertino – 157,300.00 – 212,800.00 USD annuallyUSA, TX, Austin – 136,000.00 – 184,000.00 USD annuallyYour Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
