Job Summary:

Monitors, validates and reports clinical quality data in accordance with federal, state and accreditation requirements. Works cross-functionally with Quality Reporting Specialist and other stakeholders in performance improvement activities. Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of data to CMS value-based programs (e.g., Hospital IQR, HVBP, HACRP, HRRP), The Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies and supports hospital and enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 4 years of clinical or a combination of clinical and healthcare quality, performance improvement or clinical data abstraction is required.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge of hospital and clinic processes, process improvement theory, and medical terminology or accreditation regulations is required. Proficiency in Excel and EHR systems; Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) certification, Lean Six Sigma or similar quality improvement certification is preferred.
