We are partnering with a leading steel manufacturer seeking a Quality Section Manager to lead quality initiatives at a large-scale manufacturing operation. This leadership role will oversee a team of quality professionals while driving continuous improvement, maintaining quality system compliance, and partnering with operations to improve product quality and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality leader with a background in metallurgy, materials science, or heavy manufacturing who enjoys leading teams, solving technical challenges, and making a measurable impact on plant performance.

Lead and maintain quality management systems while ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.
Manage and develop a team of quality engineers and technical professionals.
Drive corrective and preventive actions to improve quality performance and reduce recurring issues.
Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and production teams to drive process improvements.
Support customer quality initiatives and resolve product-related quality concerns.
Analyze quality data, trends, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead investigations related to product quality, process deviations, and material disposition.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Ensure adherence to ISO and IATF quality standards.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
6+ years of manufacturing experience.
Previous leadership or management experience.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred:
Steel, metals, or heavy industrial manufacturing experience.
Union manufacturing experience.
Product quality and inspection experience.
Professional certification or involvement in quality-related organizations.
Base salary: $130,000 - $150,000
