Quality Specialist
The Quality Specialist will be expected to perform basic quality control functions from subcomponents inspections to finished good dock audits to ensure company products are being produced and distributed with the highest amount of quality, with zero defects. Responsibilities:
- Perform production audits to ensure process quality and performance
- Inspection of parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other inspection equipment
- Experience/Knowledge of CMM
- Ability to produce and generate quality/process performance reports
- Ability to disposition non-conforming material through the containment process
- Ability to gather data for SPC monitoring
- Run controlled experiments in order to improve process improvement
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in industrial manufacturing (preferably automotive tier 1)
- Ford or GM manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of GD&T, measuring equipment, and standard quality testing techniques
- Basic math knowledge and the ability to read drawings
- Understanding and knowledge of the metric system
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve quality/manufacturing issues
- Ability to work well with other employees, auditors, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high paced manufacturing environment
