Quality Technician – Metal Stamping

Position Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring stamped metal components meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and production requirements. This position works closely with production, engineering, and management to identify quality issues, perform inspections, document results, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of metal-stamped components.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Verify part dimensions, tolerances, appearance, and overall conformance to specifications.
• Perform visual inspections for defects such as burrs, scratches, dents, cracks, deformation, and other abnormalities.
• Complete inspection reports, quality records, and production documentation accurately.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming material or processes.
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality issues.
• Work with production personnel to identify and resolve quality problems as they occur.
