QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a foundry manufacturing environment REQUIRED  
• Minimum 3+ years of quality leadership or supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing  
• Experience with ductile iron, green sand, melt, molding, or casting processes preferred  
• Strong understanding of ISO quality systems and manufacturing quality standards  
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives  
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents  
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems  
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required based on experience  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily quality operations within the foundry environment  
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications  
• Lead investigations into defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions  
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve product quality and reduce scrap  
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and internal quality procedures  
• Conduct audits, inspections, and documentation reviews  
• Develop and maintain quality metrics, reports, and performance tracking  
• Train and coach employees on quality standards and best practices  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts  
• Maintain a strong safety-first culture within the facility

A growing heavy industrial manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead quality initiatives within a fast-paced foundry environment. This position is responsible for overseeing quality processes, driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and supporting production teams to maintain high-quality ductile iron casting operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous foundry manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of quality systems in a heavy industrial setting. Candidates without foundry experience will not be considered.
