What to ExpectWe are seeking an energetic, team-oriented people-person to be responsible for the performance of Quality Technicians and inspectors on various shifts at Gigafactory Buffalo. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Technicians and Inspectors to ensure they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor and product quality. The individual will be responsible for quality assurance related metrics for their shift. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for performance managing their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability. What You'll Do * Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors * Provide coaching and training to Technicians and Inspectors * Escalate quality issues with Management and Engineering as needed * Drive improvements in quality operations * Assist Quality Technicians and Inspectors on in-line decision making * Provide regular reports & updates to Quality team and Management * Assist in management of material disposition What You'll Bring * 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees * Certification in a quality-related field such as six-sigma, TQM, or equivalent a plus * Familiarity with measurement system analysis (physical measurement techniques i.e. CMM, optical comparator) and analytical techniques like GD&T, Gage R&R * Familiarity with physical IQC tools like XRF, microscopy, XRD, ICP etc. * Easily demonstrate ability to drive issues to root cause solutions in previous experience * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings * Ability to command the english language, both written and verbal Compensation and BenefitsBenefitsAlong with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Expected Compensation* Supervisor Manufacturing - $86,400 - $129,600/annual salaryExpected Compensation* Supervisor Manufacturing - $86,400 - $129,600/annual salary* Supervisor Manufacturing - $86,400 - $129,600/annual salary\+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levelsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
