Responsibilities:
- Direct all inspection activities commensurate to production schedules
- Direct and provide guidance for all nonconforming product
- Lead support for all root cause initiatives on nonconforming product
- Lead support to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and ISO/IATF
- Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources
- Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities
- Evaluate and recommend alternative auditing procedures for continuous improvement
- Support production leads and operators for interpretation and methods following set quality standards (provide guidance)
- Conduct meetings regularly with inspection and audit team to help consistency in teamwork
- Interpret and support quality policies and implement guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
- Support and maintain quality programs complementary to quality system, corporate objectives and policies (KPI metrics)
- Support/review accurate data streams for performance trending purposes to identify problems with process, training gaps, system and product
- Perform as audit representative to support as needed (LPA/ISO)
- Support scrap reduction efforts for cost savings
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisor or lead role within a manufacturing environment is
- Previous experience working in quality is (at least 3-5 years)
- Experience with training and mentoring of new-hires on quality processes.
- Experience with collecting data, metrics and KPI’s for quality
- Experience with use of manual measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gaging and others to make accurate measurements is necessary
- Proven experience of completing visual inspections of composite components and understanding of relevant process terminology in support of effective communication with the engineering, production and quality teams is preferred
- Awareness of IATF/ISO 9001 Requirements
- Understand lean manufacturing (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment

- Ability to work on own initiative
- Microsoft products experience is necessary (Excel, Word, Planner)
