Responsibilities:

  • Direct all inspection activities commensurate to production schedules
  • Direct and provide guidance for all nonconforming product
  • Lead support for all root cause initiatives on nonconforming product
  • Lead support to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and ISO/IATF
  • Establish priorities and ensure maximum usage of assigned resources
  • Develop monthly reports showing inspection and audit performance and improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate and recommend alternative auditing procedures for continuous improvement
  • Support production leads and operators for interpretation and methods following set quality standards (provide guidance)
  • Conduct meetings regularly with inspection and audit team to help consistency in teamwork
  • Interpret and support quality policies and implement guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Support and maintain quality programs complementary to quality system, corporate objectives and policies (KPI metrics)
  • Support/review accurate data streams for performance trending purposes to identify problems with process, training gaps, system and product
  • Perform as audit representative to support as needed (LPA/ISO)
  • Support scrap reduction efforts for cost savings

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisor or lead role within a manufacturing environment is
  • Previous experience working in quality is (at least 3-5 years)
  • Experience with training and mentoring of new-hires on quality processes.
  • Experience with collecting data, metrics and KPI’s for quality
  • Experience with use of manual measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gaging and others to make accurate measurements is necessary
  • Proven experience of completing visual inspections of composite components and understanding of relevant process terminology in support of effective communication with the engineering, production and quality teams is preferred
  • Awareness of IATF/ISO 9001 Requirements
  • Understand lean manufacturing (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Microsoft products experience is necessary (Excel, Word, Planner)
