Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
Ensure product quality meets internal and external specifications.
Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control plan
Conduct process and product audits according to the work instructions
Lead change-over following proper set-up procedure according to work instructions
Turn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely manner
Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to the line leader
Troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.
Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement.
Fulfill assignments/tasks given by line leader.
Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.
Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.
Troubleshooting / problem solving manufacturing problems in the CBG / Furnace operations.
Provide training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.
Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.
Audit employee time records using Kronos and correct as needed.
Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.
Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
Other duties as assigned by manager

Manages a team of 15 – 25 Hourly Team Members in a Union Environment

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing quality
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Safety and goal oriented.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Demonstrated personal computer skills
Qualifications Desired:
3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
Automotive glass experience
