    We’re Looking For A(n): Quality Supervisor

    Location: Seward, NE

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Implement and maintain food safety and quality systems to ensure products meet all specifications, food safety certification standards, and regulatory standards; support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Supervisor, develop and mentor Quality Technicians, including scheduling, training, assigning work, appraising performance, and resolving problems
    • Ensure personnel comply with plant and corporate procedures, SOPs, GMPs, company safety policies, and OSHA regulations; provide training as necessary
    • Create and maintain product testing specifications and SOPs within the Quality Management System
    • With the FSQ Manager, oversee the corrective action program for nonconformances, investigations, vendor issues, product defects, complaints, and regulatory observations
    • Coordinate and conduct facility audits, accompany investigators, and assist with Regulatory, Customer, Certification and internal GMP audits
    • Serve on the Food Safety and HACCP teams, facilitate committee meetings and other meetings as needed, and review Food Safety documentation
    • Partner with various departments to promote food safety and quality ownership; convey company goals and participate on Quality and Operations Teams
    • Review laboratory and production documents daily, approve products for release, manage "Hold and Release" programs, and ensure quality checks are completed and documented
    • Maintain laboratory supply inventory, equipment calibration, and coordination of testing with external laboratories
    • Serve as backup to Quality Technicians, Quality Specialists, and FSQ Manager; engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and job performance 

    Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • 3+ years of quality experience in manufacturing environment
    • 1+ years of supervisory experience
    • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, sanitation, pest control, food manufacturing regulations (USDA, FSA) and GMPs
