We seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead its Quality Management System (QMS) and drive quality excellence throughout the organization. This company specializes in complex, high-mix electronic assemblies serving highly regulated industries where quality, compliance, and precision are critical.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for maintaining quality certifications, overseeing audits, managing supplier and customer quality initiatives, and leading continuous improvement efforts. The Quality Supervisor will partner closely with the inspection team while providing strategic oversight of the company's quality systems and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System & Compliance

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.

  • Manage certification activities, surveillance audits, and recertification processes.

  • Oversee the Counterfeit Parts Prevention Program.

  • Administer the Internal Audit Program, including scheduling, audit execution, corrective action follow-up, and management reviews.

  • Drive continuous improvement through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, risk assessment, process audits, statistical analysis, and process controls.

  • Analyze quality metrics and present performance trends to leadership.

 

Audits, Inspections & Supplier Quality

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer, regulatory, and certification audits.

  • Respond to audit findings and corrective action requests.

  • Provide final approval authority for source inspections.

  • Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.

  • Supervise inspection department activities and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Manage supplier quality programs, including supplier evaluations, corrective actions (SCARs), customer corrective actions (CARs), and nonconforming material processes (NCMRs).

 

Training & Team Development

  • Maintain expertise in IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.

  • Develop and deliver ongoing quality training programs for employees.

  • Coach and mentor quality personnel while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Maintain cross-training and backup coverage plans for critical quality functions.

 

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns and complaints.

  • Lead regular quality meetings and communicate quality performance across departments.

  • Manage the Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention program.

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Production to ensure quality objectives are consistently achieved.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.

  • IPC certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Experience working within AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a quality or inspection environment.

  • Background in electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical device manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Experience with CAPA, root cause analysis, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

 

Salary-$70k-$90k DOE
