Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Systems Coordinator to support and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) at our facility in Pulaski, Tennessee. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, coordinating internal audits, maintaining quality documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

The ideal candidate has experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, is highly organized, and possesses a strong understanding of quality systems, document control, and Automotive Core Tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949 and applicable customer requirements.
  • Coordinate internal quality audits and support external customer, certification, and supplier audits.
  • Manage document control, including procedures, work instructions, forms, engineering changes, and quality records.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
  • Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC activities.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and prepare reports for management review meetings.
  • Assist with customer quality documentation and responses to customer requests.
  • Coordinate employee training related to quality systems and procedures.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with measurement system requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a quality systems or quality assurance role within automotive manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Tools.
  • Experience with document control and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Internal Auditor certification for IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.
  • Experience with customer-specific automotive requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience using ERP systems and electronic document management systems.

*Competitive salary of $60,000–$70,000 based on experience
