Quality Systems Manager/Director

Client Overview:
Our client is a growing consumer products company seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager/Director to help strengthen and formalize its quality infrastructure. The organization operates in a fast-moving environment and partners with external manufacturers, suppliers, and testing resources.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$130k - $150k

Position Overview:
The Quality Systems Manager/Director will take ownership of key quality processes and help build a more structured, scalable quality program. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable creating processes in an evolving environment. The Quality Systems Manager/Director will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to support product quality, documentation, investigations, supplier oversight, and continuous improvement. This individual should be comfortable balancing strategic process development with day-to-day execution. Candidates who have previously helped build a quality function or introduced new quality processes will be especially successful in this role. This position offers an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a developing quality function while working remotely.

Responsibilities of the Quality Systems Manager/Director:

• Develop and improve quality procedures, documentation, and internal processes.
• Maintain organized quality records and ensure required documentation is complete and current.
• Review manufacturing and testing documentation against established requirements.
• Partner with external manufacturers, laboratories, and suppliers on quality-related matters.
• Coordinate supplier qualification and quality review activities.
• Support investigations into product or manufacturing issues and drive issues through resolution.
• Manage corrective and preventive action activities and identify recurring quality trends.
• Support product testing, stability, specifications, and related quality documentation.
• Establish practical document-control and change-management processes.
• Develop quality metrics and reporting to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Provide quality guidance to cross-functional business partners.

Required Experience/Skills for the Quality Systems Manager/Director:

• 7+ years of quality experience within consumer products, personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
• Experience developing, improving, or implementing quality systems and processes.
• Strong understanding of GMP principles and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with external manufacturers, suppliers, or laboratories.
• Background in investigations, CAPA, root-cause analysis, auditing, and quality documentation.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and create structure in a changing environment.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a Scientific, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline is preferred.
