Pay Rate: $27.00–$28.00/hour, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
Duration: 6-month contract
The Quality Systems & Raw Material Risk Specialist supports Quality and Food Safety programs by managing raw material approvals, supplier documentation, risk assessments, and controlled quality records.
This position works closely with Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Operations, R&D, and external suppliers to ensure raw materials meet regulatory, customer, GMP, and food safety requirements before being approved for production use.
Manage raw material approval processes, including collecting, reviewing, tracking, and maintaining supplier documentation, specifications, SDS documentation, certificates, and quality questionnaires.
Perform raw material risk assessments related to food safety, regulatory compliance, allergens, foreign material risks, and supplier requirements.
Maintain controlled documents, procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality specifications within the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) and shared drives.
Ensure quality documents are reviewed on schedule and obsolete records are properly archived.
Work with Procurement, Regulatory, and suppliers to resolve missing or incomplete documentation.
Support the evaluation and approval of alternate raw material sources.
Assist with change management activities involving suppliers and raw materials.
Maintain supplier quality records and monitor documentation expiration dates.
Help reduce quality-system workflow backlogs and improve documentation processes.
Support ISO 22000, customer, regulatory, and internal audit preparation.
Maintain accurate and audit-ready quality and supplier documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related or business discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality management, food safety, regulatory compliance, raw material verification, supplier quality, or a related area.
Strong organizational and documentation-management skills.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience working with CRM, ERP, or manufacturing systems such as AS400, MAPICS, MES, or Salesforce.
Experience with electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS).
Experience supporting ISO 22000, GMP, food safety, or regulatory audit requirements.
Onsite ADM Contractor General Orientation Training is required.
Respirator fit testing is not required.
