The Quality Team Lead is responsible for coordinating quality‑related activities and supporting daily material processing operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with customer and company requirements. This role provides leadership and direction to team members while promoting a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.The Quality Team Lead serves as a key resource within the operation by monitoring material flow, ensuring adherence to standard work procedures, supporting inventory accuracy, and maintaining compliance with quality standards throughout the assigned area.What you'll do:Lead and support team members in the execution of daily quality and material processing activitiesEnsure timely, accurate, and efficient processing of materials within the assigned operational areaPromote and enforce compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company proceduresMonitor quality standards and ensure products and processes meet customer requirementsTrain, coach, and support associates on standard work instructions and operational proceduresIdentify, document, and report quality concerns, material discrepancies, damages, or process deviationsSupport root cause analysis and corrective action activities to prevent recurring issuesMaintain accurate records, documentation, filing systems, and operational reportsEnsure compliance with 5S standards and maintain an organized work environmentEncourage employee participation in continuous improvement and Kaizen initiativesSupport inventory audits and year‑end inventory activities as requiredCoordinate material flow activities to support production schedules and operational requirementsFollow emergency response procedures and support workplace safety initiativesPerform additional duties as assigned to support business needsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in quality, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations preferredLeadership or team lead experience preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality standardsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain accurate records and documentationBasic computer skills and experience with data entry preferredAbility to identify and communicate process deviations and quality concernsMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be able to pass a drug screeningWork EnvironmentWork is performed in a warehouse and logistics environmentFrequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shiftExposure to moving equipment, warehouse traffic, and elevated noise levelsRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on the shop floorMust be able to lift and move containers weighing up to 33 poundsMay be required to support inventory activities, audits, and operational projects outside normal dutiesBenefitsEmployees benefit from competitive compensation, comprehensive health and retirement benefits, and opportunities for professional growth across operations, engineering, and business functions.EEOC StatementSchnellecke Logistics is an equal opportunity employer.
