JOB DESCRIPTION:
*Inspection of product before packaging, with a focus on color matching and comprehensive knowledge of product specifications.
*If product defects are identified, the QC Tech must implement corrective actions to ensure a defect-free product, utilizing reason codes for rejections and conducting touch-ups for minor repairs.
*Ensure product meets or exceeds company and customer expectations as it relates to quality specifications and standard by auditing and monitoring process controls throughout their assigned area.
*Use knowledge and understanding of the process and controls to root-cause and countermeasure problems which cause defects in the process and ensure all material leaving their area of oversight meets defined standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*Proficiency in reading metric tools, understanding audit screens, and effective communication with Plant QC to address major quality issues.
*Ability to differentiate color hues and use the spectrometer and identify defects or abnormalities in product.
*Use of tape measure and hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, depth gauges, go/no-go gauges.
*Proficient with Excel and use of pivot tables as well as other MS software; Word, Powerpoint, etc. Skilled in taking pictures and integrating them into Excel or Powerpoint.
*Know and understand how to read specifications of incoming product as well as current in stock inventory.
*Learn and understand technical drawings and specifications to determine the quality state of product and parts.
