Role Overview
The Quality Technician's function is to perform various inspection duties, create and collect inspection data, work closely with Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues, and maintain document control in accordance with AS9100 and ITAR requirements.
What You'll Do...
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections using measurement and test equipment that includes, but is not limited to: pin gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages, height gage, profilometer, optical comparator, CMM, and GOM scanner
- Measure components and compare results to Engineering drawings that contain GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and industry standard specification controls
- Create, develop, and implement inspection processes based on customer specifications
- Create and run part measurement programs using PC DMIS and Calypso software
- Collaborate with Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to resolve any issues found during product realization
- Assist with creating and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) such as calibration records, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and document control
- Create inspection documentation and collect and verify all data for customer data packet or CoC packet
- Identify and record non-conformances using various software
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions

You have...
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working in a quality position
- Experience working in an AS9100 (or similar standard) manufacturing and inspection environment
- Experience writing programs and running CMM
- Experience in developing and implementing quality procedures and work instructions
- Proficient with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) read, write and interpret
- Drawing interpretation background
- Experience working with various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Formal written and verbal communication with internal and external parties (customers and suppliers) as well as performing inter-company and external presentations
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
