PGS Worldwide is seeking a Quality Technician in Endicott, New York for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This 1st shift position supports inspection, compliance, configuration verification, and quality documentation activities across program operations. The role works from specifications, drawings, process sheets, ECOs, and verbal instructions to support incoming inspection, supplier material evaluation, audit readiness, test witnessing, and quality issue resolution.

Required Skills

  • Associate degree or a minimum of 4 years of directly related quality technician, inspector, logistics, or operations experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work from specifications, drawings, process sheets, ECOs, and verbal instructions
  • Ability to evaluate incoming inspection material and supplier materials using precision tools and inspection techniques
  • Ability to verify product configuration and shipment conformity
  • Ability to conduct internal compliance audits
  • Ability to support field return evaluations and documentation
  • Ability to witness tests and validate procedural compliance and data collection
  • Ability to tabulate and analyze inspection data for trending

Preferred Skills

  • Quality inspection experience
  • Quality technician experience
  • Manufacturing operations experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Experience using Oracle database
  • Interest in growth within quality or manufacturing operations

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate initial program-specific inspections, supplier materials, and incoming inspection material using complex precision tools and inspection techniques
  • Define, document, communicate, and distribute special program inspection requirements to in-process inspectors
  • Train and communicate with in-process inspectors on inspection requirements
  • Verify product configuration for conformity, shipment readiness, and shipping paperwork accuracy
  • Interface with customers on sell-off activities as needed
  • Conduct internal compliance audits across program functions
  • Perform field return evaluations and support return and repair process documentation
  • Work with engineering on specialized program tasks and generate reports, tables, and analysis
  • Witness tests and validate compliance with procedures and data collection requirements
  • Analyze supplier and incoming inspection data for trends and report results to engineering

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday through Friday
  • 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay

  • $17.45/hour
