We are looking for a QUALITY TECHNICIAN to join our Hannibal, MO plant. As a Quality Control Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible for providing
analytical services to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials, process intermediates and finished products.

About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Performs all tasks in a safe and professional manner in conformance with Plant rules, Quality standards and Company policies.
- Ensures all laboratory equipment is working properly.
- Ensures all servicing and training requirements are made for all laboratory equipment.
- Provides assistance and/or relief for physical & chemical testing as required.
- Reports any test results falling outside of Quality Control Limits or ASTM / AASHTO specifications.
- Performs minor adjustments to laboratory equipment as required.
- Inspects laboratory and quality control equipment on a regular basis and prepares work orders as required.
- Uses LDMS, ICMS, Plant Focus, or other computerized management tools.
- Prepares chemical solutions required in chemical analysis.
- Ensures proper disposal of chemicals and samples.
- Works with other departments to solve quality related problems.
- Inputs and reports operating statistics.
- Samples, splits, packages, and ships samples for third party testing.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, confined space, outside weather conditions, artificial lighting, and excessive heat. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, proximity to electrical equipment, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
- Must be able to stand / sit, for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift / carry / bend / pull up to 75lbs.
About You
We Require:
- Minimum of three years of cement plant experience preferred.
- An Associate’s degree in a Science or related field preferred.
- Lab operation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with initiative for task completion.
