The Quality Technician I is responsible for inspecting manufactured and incoming materials to ensure products meet blueprint specifications, dimensional requirements, workmanship standards, and quality documentation requirements.
This position requires experience using common measuring equipment, reading blueprints and specifications, performing in-process inspections, reviewing certifications, and maintaining accurate quality records.
Inspect manufactured products for dimensional accuracy, consistency, workmanship, and finish.
Compare measurements, form, fit, and function against blueprint specifications and established quality standards.
Perform in-process inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
Inspect incoming materials for conformance to specifications and requirements.
Review material certifications and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Create DMRs or NCMRs in the ERP system when nonconforming materials or products are identified.
Review product certification packages and release approved products for shipment through the ERP system.
Maintain timely product flow through inspection to support outside processing and customer delivery deadlines.
Maintain accurate electronic quality records and organized certification files.
Follow Good Documentation Practices when completing, reviewing, inspecting, and auditing quality records.
Assist the Lead Inspector and Quality Department Manager as needed.
Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED.
2 4 years of quality inspection experience strongly preferred.
Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other common measuring and inspection equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and consistency.
Experience working in a smaller production or manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with visual measuring systems is a plus.
Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
