Job Summary
The Quality Technician II inspects and tests outsourced and manufactured products to ensure product quality. The Quality Technician II is instrumental in the assessment and analysis of failed products, determining root cause and documenting findings for future quality improvements. Works with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods such as might be found in a machine shop. The Quality Technician II ensures proper procedures are followed and documented to maintain product quality and records traceability. The process quality technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.
Essential Job Functions *
Implement and monitor previously developed quality assurance plans to ensure compliance with all specifications and standards.Develop, implement, and monitor Process Control Plans.Designs, sets up and performs destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, material characteristics or root cause of failure.Development and maintenance of quality procedures/instructions and ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks.Field, track, organize, report, and analyze customer complaints, product issues and field failures.Assist the Quality Manager in resolving customer issues.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 5-8 years' experience in a related field; or Vocational School in Quality and 2-5 years' experience in a related field.Solid understanding of mechanical measurement methods and inspection setup.
Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and apply geometric precision to the inspection processAbility and experience using advanced quality inspection tools and electronic testing equipment.Excellent math and analytical skills.Excellent problem-solving. trouble-shooting skills, and attention to detail.Experience documenting test results and quality trends with graphs and charts.
Operational Equipment
Will use test equipment including force gauges, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, thread gages, column indicators.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work Environment
Quality Control: Fast-paced, quality lab centered , plus some duties in the warehouse selecting samples, identifying, quarantining and auditing finished goods. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
