    Quality Technician Quality Inspector

    OVERVIEW: The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all quality related documents are completed to allow for product approval and on-time delivery.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Setup And Monitor SPC Collecting Activities
    • Release all Jobs Prior to Manufacturing
    • Comply with ISO and Customers QC Standards, Procedures and Specifications
    • Prepare First Article Inspection packages, IAW AS9102
    • Develop Quality Inspection Plans.
    • Develop PFMEA, control plans, flow charts and any APQP, as required.
    • Track and upkeep PPAP requirements
    • Participate in root cause and corrective action items utilizing 8D methodology
    • Train Quality Inspectors on proper inspection techniques
    • Follow Routers Instructions
    • Perform First Piece, In process and Final Inspections using CMM/Layout Inspection

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    COMPETENCIES

    Language Skills

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Skills

    • Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

    · High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

    · Working Knowledge of common Drawing Standards and Interpretation

    · Knowledge of Inspection Methods and Techniques

    · Knowledge of basic GD&T

    VISION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Snellen 14/18, (20/30) or Jaeger 2 – employee will be tested in at least one eye, either corrected or uncorrected
    • Color Vision Requirements: Individuals shall be capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the method for which certification is required, the process being performed or inspection activity. Color Perception testing is required one time only.
    • Note: Vision tests may be substituted for the options listed above providing the equivalence is verified and documented by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • This position regularly works in an environment near moving mechanical parts.
    • This position occasionally works in an environment with fumes or airborne particles.
