Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, assemblies, and finished products. This position ensures that products meet applicable quality standards, blueprints, and work order specifications.
Responsibilities- Inspect materials and assemblies received from outside suppliers.
- Inspect in-process and finished products.
- Inspect welded joints and assemblies for compliance with applicable welding standards, blueprints, and work order specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately.
- Partner with the Quality Department and other departments to communicate and resolve nonconformances and other quality-related issues.
- Investigate and help resolve quality problems.
- Maintain positive, courteous, and respectful interactions with customers, vendors, field sales representatives, and coworkers.
Requirements- High school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
- Vocational education in electromechanical technology or a similar field preferred.
- High mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to operate measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- CMM operating experience preferred.
- One to three years of quality control or similar experience preferred.
- One to three years of welding inspection experience preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS D14.0 preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Information- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
- Mix of sitting, standing, and walking throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Occasional lifting of up to 65 pounds.
- Good eyesight, either natural or corrected.
- Occasional stooping and squatting.
