Quality Technician 

Norcross, GA

 

Compensation Includes

  • Starting Pay Rate of $18.23/hour - depending on experience

Available Shift

  • 3rd shift: 11pm - 7am

Overview

The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and control processes within the facility. This role ensures that products meet established standards of quality, safety, and reliability by performing inspections, testing materials, and monitoring production processes. The Quality Technician works closely with production teams to identify defects, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, documentation accuracy, and maintaining overall product integrity.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Document and report inspection results, non-conformances, and quality issues accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor production processes and identify deviations from established specifications or procedures
  • Assist in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues
  • Use measurements tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment to verify product specifications
  • Maintain quality records, inspection logs, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, ISO requirements, and internal quality management systems
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and participating in audit activities
  • Assist in training production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or production environment preferred
  • Experience using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience with quality systems or ERP software preferred
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
