Summary:
The Quality Technician is a crucial member of the Quality Team, responsible for ensuring that production adheres to established standards and quality control systems. This role focuses on maintaining the quality and food safety commitments of the organization, ensuring high standards are met for distilled products.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality leadership on shift.
  • Perform microbiological testing of water, distilled products, and ingredients.
  • Conduct process audits to monitor compliance with Global Risk Management and North American Standards.
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure conformance to product specifications.
  • Perform sensory analysis of in-process products, finished products, and ingredients.
  • Conduct analytical testing on in-process products, finished products, and ingredients to ensure adherence to product specifications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an asset care program for testing equipment covering maintenance, calibration, repair, and replacement.
  • Document procedures to ensure consistency in the use and operation of test equipment.
  • Train Quality Technicians to perform basic troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Provide Quality Technician coverage as required.
  • Deliver on Quality objectives as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • Degree/Diploma in Science or Engineering preferred with 1 year of experience, or if no degree, then a minimum of 3-5 years of analytical experience in a laboratory or plant environment.
  • Familiarity with HPLC, spectrophotometer, alcolyzer, and other equipment used in the analysis of distilled products and ingredients is a plus.
  • Familiarity with microbiological test methodology is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a production laboratory that directly supports on-site production and/or processing departments.
  • Experience with non-conforming product hold management is a plus.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $28.00 - $28.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
