Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this position is reviewing Concealed Damage Claims from various biz partners. The goal of this position is to support on-time, in-scope strategic program management and strategic planning. In order to achieve the highest performance, the person in this position is expected to maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and leaders within the division and cross-divisionally where applicable. Also, the person in this position requires an attention to details and an excellent communication skill with capability of storytelling visually.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Investigation: Review claim forms, bills of lading, and inspection reports to determine if damage occurred while in the care of the carrier.
Documentation Review: Analyze photos, verify the validity of the claim
Perform key program/project management, from planning to project deliverable developments
Collaborate with key department leaders to develop short to mid-term planning
Communicate to leadership on program/project progress and escalation/decision points
Develop content for executive-level presentations and reports to communicate and achieve buy-in for recommendations
Develop content for and coordinate executive workshops and working sessions
Background/Experience
Preferred Education - Bachelor’s Degree is a plus but not required (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of experience from strategy/management consulting firm or within a strategic planning/corporate development function in a global organization
Experience communicating with mid-level to top-level leaders (status reports, presentations, in-person meetings)
Working knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals, Documentation practices, and systems
Experience working in a global organization is a plus
Necessary Skills/Attributes
Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate complex, sometimes contradictory evidence to determine the true cause of loss
Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of documents to identify discrepancies in concealed damage cases.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of product damage evaluation.
Communication & Negotiation: Strong written and verbal skills for communicating with claimants and negotiating settlements.
Experience: Prefers 2+ years of claims handling or industry experience but not required
Client service driven with excellent relationship management skills
Ability to effectively engage with and facilitate collaboration with diverse groups/stakeholders
Team oriented, but able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Self-directed, self-motivated and results-oriented
