Job Description
Nucor is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join the NIPG Southeast division in Prince George, VA. In this role, you will conduct daily quality checks on raw materials and finished steel products to maintain high standards of product safety and excellence. Top candidates will have manufacturing exposure, proficiency with part drawings and precision measuring tools, and the physical capability to handle rotating shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

- Expected Base Pay: $56,617 – $68,827 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Job Responsibilities
Job Duties
- Safety & Standards: Uphold and lead all facility safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping practices as the top operational priority.
- Quality Inspections: Perform routine production quality checks and inspect incoming raw materials such as steel, plastics, and chemicals.
- Technical Measurements & Equipment: Interpret part prints, utilize calibration instruments, verify daily check standards, and operate basic power equipment like band saws and handheld drills.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Technical Skills & Experience: Prior exposure to manufacturing or quality environments, experience reading part prints/drawings, and proficiency with basic computers (Microsoft Office, test software).
- Inspection Capabilities: Ability to read tape measures, gauges, and basic measuring instruments to accurately record inspection results.
- Physical & Schedule Demands: Capacity to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work overtime, weekends, or rotating/off-shifts as needed.
