The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product integrity across multiple stages of the manufacturing process. This position supports quality activities from incoming materials through final inspection, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Shipping & Receiving, and Quality Engineering to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and internal standards.

In this hands-on role, you will perform detailed inspections and testing using precision measurement tools, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) hardware and software. Experience with CMM operation—and especially programming—is highly valued. You will also contribute to formal quality documentation such as First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions, directly impacting customer satisfaction and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

+ Perform in-process, final, and customer-required inspections using precision measuring and test equipment (calipers, height stands, gauges, CMM, etc.).

+ Program and operate CMM equipment as needed to support inspection requirements.

+ Support incoming, in-process, calibration, and shipping/receiving inspection activities.

+ Prepare, complete, and submit FAIR and PPAP documentation.

+ Ensure manufactured products conform to customer specifications through detailed inspection plans and reports.

+ Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming material using non-conformance reports and established quality procedures.

+ Assist with customer “over‑inspection” requirements in coordination with Shipping and Production Scheduling.

+ Maintain accurate, legible inspection records and quality documentation.

+ Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental policies, including proper use of PPE.

+ Maintain a clean, organized workstation consistent with 5S standards.

+ Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to broader team objectives.

+ Support additional quality and operational tasks as assigned by the Quality Engineer or Quality Strategist.

Qualifications & Experience:

+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

+ 2+ years of manufacturing experience in a Quality role preferred.

+ Demonstrated experience with product testing and inspection using precision measuring equipment.

+ CMM operation experience required; CMM programming experience strongly preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Dependable attendance and reliability.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
