A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Quality Technician to support the company's manufactured and externally sourced components that will later be assembled into test equipment.
Quality Technician Responsibilities:
- Mechanical measurement of precision-milled, turned, chemical milled, wire EDM, gun-drilled, plated, laser machined, and other specialty processes used in the production of high-frequency electronic components.
- Work within the designated area of expertise.
- Clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting business directives, adhering to the highest professional standards.
Quality Technician Qualifications:
- 2-5 years in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Education Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent field experience.
- Experience with SPC software and data analysis approaches is preferred.
- Experience with mechanical metrology hand tool usage (calipers, micrometers, gages).
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background, with the ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Experience in ISO9001, AS9100, with recognized certifications, ASQ-CMI-CQI is preferred.
- Experience with ANSI Z540.3, ISO 17025 is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with the operation of CMM, Optical Interferometry equipment, and precision gages is preferred.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine and Optical Surface Profilers is preferred.
- Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills.
- 3D modeling knowledge with NX, Solidworks, or other software is preferred.
