Our mission is to advance material science while enabling a more sustainable packaging ecosystem.Position SummaryLocation: South Gate, CAMonday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pmPre-employment background and drug screen requiredDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct raw material testing to qualify incoming flake meets minimum requirements.Verify material properties of plastic resin during manufacturing processes and record data.Operate laboratory equipment correctly and maintain it with care.Work cooperatively with the production team to meet quotas and goals.Maintain a clean and safe work area.Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.Follow all written and verbal instructions.Attend all safety and production training.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Meet yearly personal/department S.M.A.R.T. objectives.QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2+ years' experience working in industrial laboratory environment is strongly preferredPREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent required, technical certificate or associated degree preferredREQUIRED SKILLS Must be available for nights and weekends/occasional overtimeCapable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manualsBasic math, reading, and writing skillsBasic computer skillsWillingness to comply with all safety guidelines alwaysAble to operate large industrial machineryReliable and punctualPositive attitude and willingness to work as part of a teamPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Works in production environmentsFrequently standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bendingAble to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basisAble to work 8-12 hour shifts standingEqual Opportunity Employer
