Quality Technician
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Summary:
In this role, you’ll help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards by supporting inspections, testing, supplier quality, corrective actions, and daily manufacturing operations. If you enjoy hands-on work, attention to detail, and making a direct impact on production quality, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential Duties:
  1. Maintain database of current and past issues and corrective actions.
  2. Perform daily support of manufacturing related issues, resolution, and corrective actions.
  3. Maintain, enhance and measure tracking for in-house quality issues and resolutions.
  4. Understand manufacturing capacity and quality processes of suppliers and validate they are adequate for Midland’s production demands.
  5. Facilitate new approval process for new parts from suppliers.
  6. Assist production with standard operating procedure creation and communication.
  7. Perform receiving inspection of supplied parts as required.
  8. Perform calibration of small hand tools and other measuring instruments and work with 3rd parties on all high-level calibrations that are required.
  9. Verify certifications of incoming materials meet specifications.
  10. Product testing for reliability and compliance.
  11. Perform garage door wind load testing and reporting for code compliance.

Marginal Duties:
  1. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Competencies Required:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and relationships with factory staff.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office programs. ERP experience preferred.
  • Has a high level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Have prompt and reliable attendance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience: 
High School diploma and 3+ years of experience in a similar field or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties as listed above.

  • Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint

  • Various Quality Measuring Tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Ultrasonic Mill Thickness Gauge & Cross Hatch Set (Paint Verification))
  • Bandsaw, Drill, Various Hand Tools
