ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and support a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and support compliance activities associated with special processes (e.g., dip brazing, vacuum brazing, heat treatment, and chemical processing).
  • Ensure compliance with AMS2750 and other applicable customers, industry, and internal requirements related to furnace operation and process control.
  • Coordinate and maintain schedules for Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT), furnace calibrations, and other required compliance activities to minimize production interruptions.
  • Review and support approval of furnace production loads for special processes including brazing, solution heat treatment, and aging operations.
  • Validate furnace and process readiness prior to production processing activities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records associated with special process compliance activities including TUS, SAT, calibrations, certifications, furnace documentation, and validation records.
  • Manage special process documentation in accordance with document control requirements, ensuring records are properly maintained, secured, and readily accessible.
  • Generate and analyze metrics related to special process performance, compliance activities, and recurring issues to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Operations to communicate issues, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of compliance concerns.
  • Support the identification, investigation, processing, and disposition of nonconforming material associated with special processes, including customer returns and internal quality issues.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action activities to reduce risk of recurrence and improve process reliability.
  • Support visual management and organization of special process areas to improve product flow, status visibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when process compliance, product integrity, or customer requirements are compromised or at risk.
  • Ensure access to controlled documents and records follows established security and "need-to-know" protocols.
  • Support customer audits & customer reviews, internal and external certification audits (e.g. Nadcap, AS9100, etc.) as well as any compliance assessments related to special process compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Working knowledge and experience with AMS2750 requirements required.
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 quality systems required.
  • Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing environments required.
  • Knowledge of Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and calibration requirements required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical specifications, procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and drive actions to closure with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting dip brazing, vacuum brazing, heat treatment, or chemical processing operations preferred.
  • Experience with Nadcap special process requirements preferred.
  • Experience with root cause corrective action investigations preferred.
  • Experience generating and analyzing process performance metrics preferred.
  • Experience with furnace load validation and thermal processing documentation preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting customers or regulatory audits preferred.
