Description

The Quality Test Engineer develops, documents, and executes test procedures to ensure products meet quality standards and manufacturing specifications. They design test fixtures, troubleshoot failed assemblies, and implement process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Development: Create, document, and maintain production test procedures and acceptance criteria for assemblies. Interpret drawings, schematics, and engineering orders.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify root causes of failures, provide technical assistance to manufacturing teams, and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze test data to reduce test time, improve test coverage, and enhance product reliability.
  • Compliance: Ensure products and processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear records of test results, nonconformances, and calibration data. Document processes and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical staff.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing), Applied Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3-6 years in test engineering, manufacturing, or production support for electromechanical systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with test equipment

Working Conditions:

The typical work environment is a standard office setting. The employee is frequently required to perform work in a manufacturing environment. Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time at computer.
