    Description

    Job SummaryWork in all areas of the facility to ensure quality metrics are reported and maintained. Maintaining corrective actions, calibration, and certification in ASME and UL1450 will also be areas of responsibility. This person will work closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Distribution, and External Customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Position ResponsibilitiesMaintaining ASME Code Certification and UL/CSA complianceMaintaining the Gage and Instrument Calibration Program throughout the facilityAssisting in daily quality issues that impact production or new productsAnalyze and report quality metrics to management.Foster Supplier and Customer Relations and generate Corrective Actions as directedResponsible for Quality System Maintenance.Develop or assist in Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.Assist manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system as well as aiding in corrective actions for any area in the facility.Develop training to build quality awareness.Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits.Preparation of QA reports.Other duties as assignedJob PrerequisitesAbility to meet attendance standards. All full‑time employees are required to work a 40‑hour week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.When in discussion with others, this position must display tact, diplomacy, and respect. He or she must listen to, acknowledge and respond to issues in a timely fashion.Must be able to read (in English) written instructions, handbooks, manuals, correspondence, memos, etc.Highly motivated, well-organized.Maintain high personal standards of quality.Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effectively communicating with management and direct reports. Should have the ability to recognize communication gaps and appropriately address them.Excellent problem solving and team motivational skills are a must.Must be flexible and adapt to changes in the work environment as well as managing competing demands.
