Quantitative Advisor (Capital Markets, Pricing & Efficiency Projects) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Lead projects with quantitative requirements by overseeing and executing initiatives driven by data-centric insights from internal audit, risk management (RISQ), and regulatory bodies. Implement and advise on solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and profitability through quantitative analysis, including hands-on coding (including Python), advanced financial modeling, and derivative pricing and risk metric evaluations (including Greeks). Translate complex quantitative findings into actionable strategies and recommendations within a structured project management framework. Ensure project milestones and deliverables meet defined scope, timeline, and budget constraints by overseeing the full lifecycle of projects, establishing metrics for success, monitoring progress, and adjusting resources or timelines as necessary to maintain quality and meet deadlines. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, to integrate business and regulatory requirements into project execution. Contribute to and maintain project documentation, including detailed records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes, ensuring documentation is clear, comprehensive, and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain documentation including project plans, risk assessments, compliance checklists, and post-project reviews. Organize and facilitate workshops to gather business requirements from stakeholders across the organization to ensure project deliverables align with business needs. Prepare written memoranda and presentations to communicate project status, quantitative analyses, and recommendations to internal committees and stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, particularly within Global Markets, to support project execution and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives. Act as a liaison between project teams, external partners, regulators, and internal audit teams to communicate project details, support compliance efforts, and foster collaboration. Develop business plans supporting new initiatives, including market analysis, financial projections, and strategic planning for new product launches or business changes. Coordinate new product committee processes, supporting activities from initial concept through implementation, including regulatory review, market testing, and launch planning. Analyze and prepare quantitative and qualitative materials, including financial models, risk assessments, pricing analyses, meeting minutes, policy drafts, and compliance reports. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167 when not telecommuting. Salary: $165,000 - $275,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, Statistical Science, Mathematics or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Risk Analyst or any occupation/job title/position performing quantitative analysis, financial modeling, derivatives pricing, & risk metric analysis within a global financial services organization.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, Statistical Science, Mathematics or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Risk Analyst or any occupation/job title/position performing quantitative analysis, financial modeling, derivatives pricing, & risk metric analysis within a global financial services organization.
Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience leading cross-functional projects involving operational risk management and regulatory compliance within financial markets environments. 3 years of professional experience performing quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, and data analysis using programming languages including Python. 3 years of professional experience developing financial models and conducting derivative pricing and risk metric analysis, including calculation and interpretation of risk sensitivities (Greeks). 3 years of professional experience applying quantitative modeling methodologies including discount curve construction and advanced risk metric analysis. 3 years of professional experience managing large-scale, multiple stakeholder projects, ensuring delivery within defined timelines, scope, and budget constraints. 3 years of professional experience supporting management decision making and internal governance through the preparation of analytical reports, memoranda, and presentations, while coordinating with cross functional stakeholders (including Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Operations). 3 years of professional experience performing project management or project related work, including planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of project activities across multiple stakeholders.
