Our Lube Technicians service each vehicle as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures. In addition, he or she performs oil changes effectively and efficiently for every make and model that comes through our bay doors. We deliver the highest quality service while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, at least two years of dealer-level or large facility experience, and may be certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a strong understanding of quick lube/oil changing knowledge, and the physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnoses appropriate oil and filters for proper car maintenance
  • Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle exterior while performing oil changes
  • Report any visible issues or concerns to the appointed Service Advisor
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
  • Follows all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules
  • Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in service departments preferred
  • ASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles a plus
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Highly professional and dependable

  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
