Quoting/ Estimating Steel Fabricating

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Quoting/Estimating Specialist in Steel Fabricating at our facility located in Villa Park, IL, 60181. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations by providing accurate quotes and estimates for our steel fabrication projects. Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Ability to read drawings/ prints
• Ability to quote for Laser Cutting operations
• Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed proposals.
• Communicate with clients to clarify project details and address any questions.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation
• Assist in the development of standard estimating procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in estimating or quoting within the steel fabrication industry.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and materials is preferred.
• Engineering/ programming skills a plus
