As a Quoting Specialist, you play a key role in supporting accurate, timely, and efficient pricing decisions for our customers. You work closely with sales, engineering, quality, and other internal teams to interpret customer requirements and translate specifications into precise quotations that align with internal standards and business goals. With your strong organizational and communication skills, you help ensure that quotes are technically sound, competitively positioned, and delivered on time, directly supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. $20.00 an hour
Responsibilities:
Interpret customer requirements and match products to applicable specifications, drawings, and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm technical feasibility and clarify project requirements
Assist with preparing complete and accurate quotation packages, gathering all required technical and commercial data
Manage the quotation process to ensure timely preparation, review, and distribution to customers
Review material specifications to confirm coverage and coordinate testing for uncovered requirements
Request, track, and follow up on testing samples; share material test results with internal and external stakeholders
Route customer Purchase Orders (POs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and related documentation for proper quoting and tracking
Request clarification and updates from sales and engineering on open blueprint questions or technical concerns
Support Tool Prove-In validation activities and provide customer service support related to tooling information
Initiate actions to prevent non-conformances and document any identified product or process issues
Promote continuous improvement of quoting processes while adhering to safety guidelines
Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including validating global drawings and processing orders for backup rotary dies
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required; training in a related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quoting, estimating, or sales support required
Ability to understand internal and external customer requirements and how the role contributes to company objectives
Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation, product measurement, document control methods, and quality systems
Understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control) preferred
Knowledge of extrusion and fabrication processes in a related manufacturing field preferred
Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Environmental Policy awareness
Awareness of how the role impacts quality, cost, delivery, and EMS objectives
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting 25-50 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling, and sufficient stamina and core strength to perform job duties safely
