CES Kindergarten Jumpstart Summer Program - Teachers (4)
Program Goal: Students entering Centerville Elementary kindergarten will be invited to participate in a summer session to prepare these students and their families for the Kindergarten, school routines, expected behaviors, supports available, and allay fears.
Position: Teachers
Job Description: Teachers will:
- Introduce entering Kindergarten students to the classroom setting, routines, and expectations
- Model expected behaviors in the classroom
- Plan, prepare and deliver jumpstart curriculum & daily activities
- Provide student data to Program Coordinator
- Tour the school building, including cafeteria and gymnasium
- Program staff will report to school and/or program administration and follow participating students' progress
Program duration and anticipated schedule
- August 3, 2026 - August 13,2026
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30am - 12:30pm (4 hrs/day)
- 4 Hours Program Preparation/Orientation
- 1 Hour of End of Program Clean Up Time
- (37 Hours Total)
Qualifications
- Appropriate certification and/or educational background
- Strong planning and organizational skills
