R. B. Hinkle Construction - Equipment Operators/CDL Drivers

Job Overview:

Job Summary-
R B Hinkle Construction Inc. is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operators and CDL Drivers to join our team. This role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment for construction projects and/or safely transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites.

Job Responsibilities-
* Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other construction machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
* Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment and complete daily maintenance checks.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
* Interpret and follow grade stakes, blueprints, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate execution of work.
* Load and unload materials and equipment, ensuring secure transport.
* Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) with a CDL, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy haul vehicles.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel on job sites.
* Perform manual labor as needed to support construction operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications-
* Proven experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment.
* Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
* Current DOT medical card.
* Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and practices.
* Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and construction plans.
* Mechanical aptitude for performing basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
* Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.
