Description
Summary:
Location: Valhalla, NY
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Responsibilities:
Lead multiple projects and train and/or mentor other team members, peers, and clients on global R&D processes.
Investigate strategic business issues, researching and identifying inventive solutions relevant to R&D business and IT design solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders and lead business harmonization for specification management.
Assist with R&D specifications requirements for Foods or Beverages, including raw material, formulas, manufacturing process, packaging, and finished products, leveraging an SAP out-of-the-box system for global applicability with minimal modifications.
Act as a liaison with internal groups such as Product Development, Documentation System Administration, Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory, Procurement, Analytical Science, and Microbiology to ensure global requirements are met.
Understand key aspects of documentation for traceability of finished goods within the food industry in different markets.
Translate R&D specifications needs into IT requirements and ensure IT teams deliver system architecture accordingly, incorporating process and systems efficiencies.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the End-to-End relationship from ingredients specs to finished products.
Maintain the integrity of working documents and is responsible for document security due to sensitive and proprietary information.
Requirements:
BS or MS Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a relevant scientific degree.
Minimum 4 years of experience in the industry.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with integrated formula and specification management software systems (Product Vision/TeamCenter/SAP preferred).
Advanced proficiency using various Microsoft Office desktop products.
